Antique North Star Pitcher Stoneware Pottery Brown Salt Glaze Grapes & Lattice Pattern. The rim & base are accented with a "rick rack" or zigzag band design.
Beautiful vintage North Star Pottery pitcher featuring a raised grapevine, leaf & trellis pattern, finished in a rich brown salt glaze finish.
This style of pottery was notably produced by the North Star Stoneware Company (also associated w Crooksville, Ohio) & other American potteries like Brush-McCoy and Uhl Pottery, primarily late 19th & early 20th Centuries.
This sturdy salt-glaze stoneware embodies the warm, earthy charm of mid century American pottery, perfect for farmhouse, cabin, or bar décor. Durable, utilitarian pieces used in farmhouse kitchens for serving milk, water, etc.
The Embossed STAR MARK on the base identifies it as authentic North Star Pottery. Each piece hand-finished making unique pottery. Very tiny chip on spout, see photos.
